|Welcome to our school...
Roanoke City and Round Hill's vision is to be a model for urban public education. While individual schools around the country have risen to this standard, no district has comprehensively performed at this level. We owe it to our children to set a very high bar. With persistence, dedication, creativity, and student focus, we will reach our vision.

Welcome to Round Hill Elementary School where we work each day to create a school community that nurtures students academically, emotionally, and socially to promote student success. We promote excellence in all areas of our school from the classroom to the gym to the playground to the buses to the cafeteria. We desire to be the best in all things!
We provide a comprehensive academic curriculum for students PreK to 5th grade. We believe in setting high standards for all students. Our teachers strive to create innovative classroom experiences that promote critical thinking and problem solving skills. We believe in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that values student similarities and differences. We desire to engage students in meaningful learning experiences in all academic areas. Round Hill is proud of all its past academic efforts and achievements and will strive to continue these traditions in the future.
We believe in instilling character traits that will contribute to student success in the world. We want to foster integrity and leadership within our students that they will carry with them beyond the school setting. We believe in educating all aspects of the child.
The school community of Round Hill Elementary is essential for student success. We believe this school’s community involves students, parents, and staff members. All members of our school community work together to provide the best possible educational experiences. The positive relationships among our school community are vital to our students.
