Join us in welcoming our NEW Student Teachers from Radford University.

Hi there! I’m Mackenzie Fisher, a student teacher in Radford University’s Teacher Education Program, and I am so excited to spend this semester in Mrs. Thompson’s Kindergarten class. I’m from New Castle, VA but I live here in Roanoke with my two mini-Dachshunds, Poppy and Banks. When I’m not busy being a full-time college student or playing with my pups, I love travelling, spending as much time as I can in Barnes & Noble, and taking my small business all over Southwest Virginia sharing my handmade jewelry with all of the incredible people I get to meet. I look forward to the growth, interactions, and learning opportunities that Round Hill Elementary will provide!
Emily Peacock: I grew up in Blacksburg Virginia and attended Virginia Tech for my undergraduate degree. While there, I
studied Human Development earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Following graduation, I worked in
preschool via Head Start for 2 years. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction
with a teaching license for grades prek-6 from Radford University. In my free time, I love to cook, read,
exercise, and take my dog on walks. I have always loved working with children and am enthusiastic to
begin my teaching career.

My name is Hannah Terry, and I am so excited to begin my student
teaching experience at Round Hill! I will be working in 1st grade with
Mrs. Ungs. I am very familiar with the Roanoke area as I have lived in
Salem my whole life. I am currently a senior at Radford. Once I
complete student teaching, I will graduate with my Bachelor of
Science in Elementary Education (K-6). I hope to begin my teaching
career this fall in the Roanoke Valley! I have had experience with children all throughout my life working as
a babysitter/nanny, working in childcare at my church, interning in a
Kindergarten classroom during my senior year of high school, and
substitute teaching in a local school district. In my free time, I enjoy
spending time with my friends and family and thrifting clothes.
Hello! I’m Jennifer Caudle and I am a student teacher in the Teacher
Education Program at Radford University. I grew up in Roanoke Virginia and
completed my associates degree at Virginia Western Community College. After
this, I transferred to Radford University where I am currently pursuing my
Bachelor of Science. I currently work part time at a daycare that my mom has run
out of our home since I was a child. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I
believe that growing up in and working at this daycare is a big part of that. In my
free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, crafting, watching Netflix, and being
outside. I am excited to spend the semester in Mrs. Hudgins Kindergarten class
and for everything that I will learn at Round Hill Elementary School!
