Throughout the week, read chapter 10 in The Toothpaste Millionaire.

Use an internet dictionary to define the following words from the chapter:

· apt (page 48)

· grommet (page 48)

· bid (page 50)

· economize (page 52)

Answer the following questions based on the chapter:

· Explain the pun of “A gross mistake.”

· What kinds of items would come in a “gross”? What kinds of items would you NOT want to come in a “gross”?

· Kate thought she bought 600 empty tubes. She actually bought 7,200. Explain her miscalculation. How much is a “gross”?

Complete one or all of the activities for the chapter:

· Draw a picture of make a diorama of what the auction room might look like with all the products up for sale.

· Write a scene about the auction and act it out.

Math: Complete a word problem from the review word problems sent out on dojo.
